I hope everyone has settled in and is enjoying the start of the new school year. I would like to thank everyone who attended the Back-to-School night. The event was well attended and many parents had an opportunity to join the PTA and show their support for our school.
Our Fall Fundraiser has started and catalogs have been sent home with our students to every household. The fundraiser is being sponsored by Cherrydale, who has updated their entire line of gifts and food items for this year. Please look through the catalog and consider purchasing a few items to help the PTA support programs at Mason. We have received a number of volunteer requests and appreciate the willingness of our parents to donate their time to enrich the school experiences of our children. for more information. In October we plan to sponsor the National Bike- and Walk-to-School Day. In addition, we will once again host the International Potluck with food and fun for all. As a special addition this year, we will have our own Mira Mesa Fire Fighters judge food entries for special awards. We will also be compiling a Mason Cookbook with entries form our students, parents and other amateur chefs. There are a lot of events planned this year, so please take the time to read our newsletters and review our website at www.masonelementarypta.org. I would like to thank the teachers and staff for all they do...they make a difference in our children’s life each and every day.
