John Lee Evans, District A School Board Trustee and Bill Kowba, Interim Superintendent of San Diego Unified will host a town hall meeting to discuss the budget crisis on December 8. This forum is being held for parents, teachers and community members in District A. Please show up to represent the schools of Clairemont, University City and Mira Mesa. There will be opportunity to share your priorities and to hear from others in your community. This will aid the Board and administration in setting priorities. Over the last three years, California has seen historic reductions in school funding. For the San Diego Unified School District, this means a reduction of nearly 20 percent in school funding over three years, while the enrollment has increased by nearly 2 percent. That's a reduction of $180 million, plus another $16 million that might have to be cut before the end of the 2009-10 school year. Check the list of proposed budget cuts . What you can do
