What is PTA?

National PTA is the largest and oldest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States.  A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, and other citizens active in their schools and communities. PTA is a leader in parent involvement and reminding our nation of its obligation to children.

PTA Purposes

  • Promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.
  • Raise the standards of home life.
  • Secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
  • Bring into close relations the home and the school, which parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
  • Develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

PTA Mission

Represent our members and to empower and support them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication to positively impact the lives of all children.
