Hello to all the families at Mason, new and old. I'm happy to inform you that I have taken over for Lori Orvard, who had many years of being Mason's Newsletter Manager. I want to thank her for doing such a great job, and say we will miss her & wish her good luck with her upcoming College Courses..We love you Lori! I'm looking forward to many years with Mason's Newsletter because I have two children who attend the school. My son is now in 4th grade and my daughter is in 2nd grade. I also work at Mason during Lunch Recess, so if you ever hear your child say, "Hi Ms. Tiffany!", you'll know who I am. It's an honor to be the new manager for the newsletter. I know I'm going to enjoy it. Please take the time to sit down, relax, and get helpful information with Mason's educational reports, upcoming events, and letters from important sources from our school. Have a great School Year!
Your Newsletter Manager, Tiffany Salcedo

Mason Families
The Mason PTA is always working hard to create an environment that is safe, comfortable, and clean for our students. During the 2007-2008 school year the Mason PTA donated $10,000 and several classrooms had permanent carpet installed in January of 2008. Why is carpet important in a classroom you ask? There are many benefits to having professional installed carpet in the classroom such as:
- Carpet provides a safe and clean environment.
- Carpet is visually appealing and and helps to beautify the classroom.
- The students will be able to sit near the teacher in a larger group during instructional time and will have space to work throughout the classroom on thefloor when appropriate.
- Carpet significantly reduces the noise level, therefore, minimizing distractions during lesson time.
- Carpet is fairly easy to maintain and clean.
As you have read teachers prefer and appreciate carpet in the classroom. If it was not for Mason's generous PTA, Mason would not be as beautiful as it is. Please consider becoming a member of the Mason PTA so that our school can continue supporting students, teachers, and parents in the years to come. Remember, with your support we can accomplish anything. Go Lions!

Dear Mason Parents, Staff, and Friends, You would do anything you could to help the children in your lives. So would we. We are Mason PTA (Parent/Teacher Association). To join There are two ways to join - Download and the English or Spanish membership application and enclose it with your $7.00 dues in an envelope and return it to your child’s teacher, the school office or by mail.
- Go to our online membership and pay be credit card or e-check.
You’ll get the membership card, but your children will have the benefit of knowing you care enough about their education to do something about it. |
